Sources: Former Warriors and Suns president Rick Welts will join the
Mavericks as retiring CEO Cynt Marshall’s replacement.
A press conference will be held at noon at the Mavs’ practice facility to
introduce Welts.

For our sitdown interview and a photo session, Rick Welts brought his
basketball championship rings because he thought I might want to see them.
The 3 to the left are his Warriors rings, then his ‘79 Sonics ring, then 2
Mercury WNBA title rings and a Warriors G-League ring. Check out the vast
difference in the Warriors-Sonics rings.
