MLB Rumors: This Red Sox Star Player 'Open' To Extension
Scott Boras was at the Boston Red Sox game against the Los Angeles Angels on Monday, potentially to take care of a star player's contract. ...

 

On Monday, however, there might have been some intention behind his attendance.
According to the Boston Globe’s Tim Healy, Boras might have been there to repre
sent his client Alex Bregman.

I always tell the team — and Alex directs me to tell them — we’re always open
 to any conversation,” Boras said in an interview with the Boston Globe.

When the Red Sox moved on from designated hitter Rafael Devers, they didn’t ret
ain any money, allowing them to reallocate funds in other areas of the team.

Bregman signed a three-year, $120 million contract with the Red Sox this past of
fseason. The deal includes opt-outs after each season, though, so Bregman could
enter free agency after the season.
