Thai public health officials went to a condominium in Bangkok’s Sukhumvit
area today, to test staff who had close contact with the family of an African
diplomat, a member of which was found to be infected with for COVID-19.

泰國公共衛生部人員今(14)日前往位於曼谷素坤逸地區一處共管公寓，檢測該處有與確
診武漢肺炎之非洲(註：蘇丹)外交人員家庭密切接觸之員工。

The family arrived at Suvarnabhumi international airport on July 10th, and
the nine-year old daughter tested positive at the airport. A second test,
conducted at a private hospital, confirmed the result and she was admitted
for treatment of a lung inflammation.  She was then transferred to a state
hospital for further treatment.



Chawin Sirinark, director of the health office of the Bangkok Metropolitan
Administration, explained that the family holds diplomatic privileges, which
exempts them from quarantine in a state facility, but in the embassy grounds
instead, even though one had tested positive at the airport.

曼谷大都會政府衛生部主管 Chawin Sirinark 解釋，該家庭享有外交特權，意即得豁
免於待在國家檢疫所隔離，而是在大使館隔離，即使有一人在機場檢驗出陽性。

He said he thought the embassy might have not had sufficient accommodation,
so they stayed at a serviced condominium on Sukhumvit Road adding, however,
that the rest of the family are now quarantined in a state facility.

他以為大使館可能空間不足，所以才待在蘇坤逸大道上之一間共管公寓，然而如今剩餘
的家庭成員都在國家檢疫所隔離了。

Dr. Preecha Prempri, deputy director-general of the Diseases Control
Department, meanwhile, said that the condominium has its own safety measures,
including temperature screening at all entrances and regular cleaning of the
premises.

疾病管制部門主管 Dr. Preecha Prempri 表示，該共管公寓自有一套安全措施，包括所
有入口都有體溫檢測、定期清潔等。

He said health officials will, today, try to trace all house maids and
security guards, who may have had contact with the family during their stay.

另表示，衛生單位員工將會在今日追蹤所有與該家庭停留期間有接觸之女侍和保全。

A Royally-sponsored test vehicle was also sent to the condominium, to provide
free testing to its residents.

皇家鑑測專車也被調派至此提供住戶免費的檢測。

Meanwhile, it is reported that seven Thai Airways International ground staff,
working at U-tapao airport during the visit of the Egyptian military mission,
have been placed in quarantine for observation for 14 days.

與此同時，據傳有七名於埃及軍事使團出訪時在烏打拋國際機場工作之泰國國際航空地
勤人員被安置在隔離區觀察十四天。

The Egyptians arrived at U-tapao airport in two C-130 transport planes, on a
stopover en route to China.   While in Thailand, they stayed at a hotel in
Rayong province.

此批埃及人在前往中國的路上，搭乘兩架 C-130 運輸機抵達烏打拋國際機場，中途停留
期間待在羅永府的一間旅店。
