Astros call up outfield prospect Derek Fisher

The Astros called up outfield prospect Derek Fisher from Class AAA Fresno on
Wednesday, sources told the Chronicle.

Fisher, 23, batted .335 with on-base and slugging percentages of .401 and
608 in 245 at-bats in Class AAA. His promotion suggests Josh Reddick will
require a stint on the seven-day concussion disabled list after crashing into
the wall attempting to make a catch Monday night.

A 40-man spot will need to be cleared for the Astros to select Fisher's
contract. The toolsy left-handed hitter was the team's highest-selected
player (37th overall) to sign from the 2014 draft.
