LBJ談Vogel被解僱：我只能控制我能控制的

LeBron James is set to work with a third head coach in his fourth year with the
Los Angeles Lakers following the franchise’s dismissal of Frank Vogel.

在球隊解僱Vogel之後，LBJ將在洛杉磯湖人隊的第四年與第三位總教練合作。

The first season of Vogel’s reign ended in the 17th NBA title for the Lakers an
d James’ fourth championship ring. However, L.A. severely underachieved in the
following two campaigns with the disastrous 2021-22 costing the 48-year-old coac
h his job.



But James had only kind words to say about Vogel during his exit interview earli
er this week.

但在本週稍早的離職採訪中，LBJ對Vogel只說了好話。

“I respect Frank as a coach and as a man in our partnership that we’ve had ove
r a few years here has been nothing but just candid,” the Lakers star said.

LBJ：無論是他作為一名教練還是他的為人，我都很尊敬Vogel，我們在這幾年的合作中是完
全開誠佈公的。

“Great conversations. He’s a guy that gives everything to the game. Prepared u
s every single night along with his coaching staff as well. You’ve got to give
those guys a lot of credit, too.”

LBJ：我們溝通得非常棒，他為比賽奉獻了一切，他和他的教練團一起每晚都為球隊的比賽
做好準備，你必須給他的教練團也獻上讚美。

When asked about the way the Lakers handled Vogel’s firing, James said there wa
sn’t much he could do about it. “Well I mean, I only can control what I can co
ntrol,” the four-time NBA champion said.

當被記者問到如何看待湖人隊解僱Vogel時，四屆NBA總冠軍LBJ說道：好吧，我想說的是，
我只能控制我能控制的。

“At the end of the day, I knew what time I was coming to speak to y’all so I w
oke up extra early, got my daughter ready for school, dropped her off at school
and I came down here to see y’all. I was here at 8:45 and was ready to start at
 what would’ve been 9 o’clock on the dot but someone kept me so I was in here
at 9:03.



“So I apologize for those three minutes, but I can only control what I can cont
rol and you can’t worry about what’s going on on the outside and how people fe
el and things of that nature. So it’s a lot of things that could be done a cert
ain way, could be better if done this way or that way, but when a decision is ma
de, you’re never gonna make everybody happy. So that’s just the way it is.”



Reports about Vogel’s firing came out right after the Lakers’ win over the Den
ver Nuggets last Sunday — and before the franchise’s leadership informed the f
ormer head coach about the decision, leading to an awkward postgame press confer
ence.
